I thought this was cute

If you have ever visited this wonderful country (real Jamaica not resort Jamaica) as you
drive around you commonly see animals whose owners tie them up alongside the road
during the day to eat then come collect them later and take them home. As I opened the library
for play time after school one of the boys came to me asking for the
donkey and I told him to go look in the toy box. Later as I noticed this (pictured above)
Jessimar had found his donkey and tied him up while he went to play (the donkey sat like this for about 2 hours) then after play time came back to collect him and take him home
(put him back in the toy box). To Funny!

Praising Jesus For 15 Years

Last Friday Plattners, Blake and I drove to MoBay for a weekend away.
We arrived Friday evening got supper at pork pit YUM! Then to the
Toby Resort to watch the boys play in the pool.
Saturday I had the most AMAZING day sitting on the beach.
The day was perfect and so RELAXING!
Sunday we went to CCCD MoBay to attend their
15th Anniversary Special Service
It started with a scripture reading
Greetings from Mr. Kerr-Jarrett
(his parents donated the land to build the school)
A song from hands in praise
The Amazing and SO POWERFUL Lifehouse Everything skit
Ms. Russel (MoBay Principal) and Mr. Reid (her right hand man)
The MoBay staff singing praises
I LOVE watching Jodian sing. She sings (signs) with her entire heart
and with NO shame. Here she is signing "Your Excellent Jesus Your Excellent"
while the staff sings behind her
(Jodian has partial hearing)
Pastor Damion finished the service by sharing with us from God's word.
I was helping to voice for this part of the service and was not able to take pictures
and focus on voicing at the same time so no pictures of that:)
Praise Jesus for Great weekends away and for 15 years of ministry
for the MoBay school

Sea Container

I am WAY behind on blogging. I just have not been home. A week ago
today I was up at 5 ready to go by 6 as Chad, Kirk, Blake, and
I drove to MoBay to get the sea
container out of port and get it distributed
Our Goal.... Get it all done in one day...
Reality... we spent the day at mega mart, the beach,
parked at the port, the airport, out to find lunch, the realization we were
not going to get the sea container so the game plan was to try again the next day
On Tuesday we tried again getting our container at about 11
two hours after the port opened
Moving from the container to the box truck
Stack is to high and can't fit in the truck
Chad to the rescue to fix the problem
deciding what will go next into the container
Chad, Kirk, and Blake when the first load is ready.
These days were SO LONG and I didn't get very many pictures
but I once again LOVED getting to help distribute the donations
and catch up with those at St. James Infirmary, Blossom Garden,
New Beginnings, Hopewell community, Manchester Infirmary.

Friends

Wow! What a Blessed BUT Busy last week!
Thursday Blake and I drove to MoBay to pick up friends that were coming
(mostly to see Blake but I tagged along:) to spend the week with us here in Ja!
The game plan.... we didn't have one other then to do as much as we can
and have fun doing it.
The first day we took them to the Dr. Cave's beach and it rained... no pictures
The second day we took them to ocho rios, Dunns River Falls,
and we had both rainy and nice weather
I was cold just about the entire time but the only sun was shining
on the water so I had to get in to enjoy the sun
(Kayla and I )
That night we went to Glistening waters ate supper then went for
a night boat ride out into the water. Because of a bunch of different
variables the water "glows" when you swim in it and its VERY visible
at night, and very cool to watch the water change and watch yourself glow
when everything around you is pitch black.
We attempted pictures and video but all we got were black screens:(

Saturday we spent the day at the MoBay School and
I got to have fun with the kiddos
I helped Peta comb out her braids until it was time to go
Saturday night we arrived in Mandeville and everyone came over
to my place to make lettuce wraps. I had never
had them before but they sure were yummy!

Sunday night we drove to Kingston. I was thankful to find some
work helping one of the teachers.

Playing with the kiddos
Hannah and I
Making Breakfast Monday Morning
Bacon and Pancakes...mmmm... good!

We had patti's for lunch then to devon house for ice cream!

I LOVE my Kingston kids and hate that I don't get to spend as much time with
them as I would like but CHERISH the time I get to spend with them.
(Tissy-Ann, Me, Tissiana)

Tuesday we took the girls to Y.S. Falls
(Jaimie and I)

Leaving the falls

Then we were off to the best sea food restaurant on the island
Little Ochie
(the lady taking our picture didn't know how to as she cut me 1/2
off and Ionda completely off:)
Sitting in the boat waiting for our food

In Jamaica they leave the head on the fish when they cook it.
They think you need to look your fish in the face as you eat it
and the best part! They leave the "delicacies" (the eyes) for
you to eat!

Jaimie and Blake enjoying this delicacies!

Back Home!

After about 2 weeks gone I am FINALLY Home!
It feels SO GOOD!
I now have HUNDREDS of pictures to edit for friends
A disaster of a house to clean
and prepare myself for possibly being in MoBay part of next week
God is Good
pictures of Last week soon come!
