The Little Things...

Praise Jesus for little things, like painting your nails
with friends to brighten your day.

Child Like Faith

Meet Imari.
He just arrived here for school this past fall. This Thursday the
kids will go on Easter Holiday so we this past week we have
been teaching the kids the Easter story here at school. This
past week I have also been handing out valentines day sweeties
(aka candy) to the kids to get rid of it.
One day when I was giving the kids candy hearts Imari informed
me that he was sharing his sweetie with Jesus. When I asked him
what he meant he told me that because Jesus died on the cross, that
Jesus can now live in his heart. So when he ate a sweetie Jesus got some
of it too because Jesus lived in his heart.

I love seeing their child like faith!
Thank you Jesus for these moments.

Flips and Donkey Rides

Going through some pictures of the past few months I found
these of the kids.

I don't know how it got started but one day the boys
started having donkey races.

Matthew, Maleak, and Fabian make up one donkey
with Damian being the rider.

I love watching my kids' imagination. It makes my
heart smile:D

Meet Midlothian

This past week we had a group from Midlotian Texas here
serving with us. They spent the week working on finishing up
the remodeling of one of our apartments. They also painted the
sports day field for us to help us prep. for sports day.

A Day Away

After two weeks of teams and a few mins. to catch up
with Tashi (and Blake:) last night. I decided I am ready for a
day away. So today I traveled to Kingston with Blake
and Tashi for that day.

We looked at a few car places, stopped for lunch, then Tashi
and I settled into Rituals (Jamaica's Starbucks) while
Blake went to look at more cars.

A few hours with good coffee, yummy dessert, and a
great friend.
Life is Good!

AND I am excited to say that while we enjoyed
our coffee and a chat, Blake was able to make a
down payment on a new car. WOOHOO after two
years of searching...waiting... procrastinating....
whatever you want to call it. We have another car!

The Post Office

Some days you just need to get away. There is really no
place for me to get away to for a few mins, besides the post
office. So on those days I just need to go I grab the mail bag
and walk to the post office.

The post office is the only place I have braved
walking on the roads by myself. And
Praise God so far so good. I have yet to be
hit by a car:)

I love the old school post office boxes.

On days that you have packages to pick up you can
wait a few mins or a few hours... Today I had
3 packages to pick up

and I waited patiently for over an hour with these people until...

the package lady decided she could stop
writing in her book for a few mins. to
come and assist us.

Praise Jesus for get away trips to the P.O.!

Note To Self...

In addition to watching for killer ant hills, and dodging vines
that will trip you and make you fall on your face, now you must
keep your eyes open for the new goat so you don't step on/trip over
him while hanging or collecting laundry from the line.

Praise Jesus for added challenges!

Meet Wheaton

This past week I was once more blessed by the Wheaton
Team. They are a great group and are such an
encouragement to me.

I am a huge fan of Cindy, one of the leaders, her
enthusiasms is contagious, and her one liners are great:)

the girls and I stopped for a picture while hanging out
after big tree enjoying the very big bright moon.

This team got the kids started on playing ultimate football
and I was able to get in a few games last week.
So FUN!
