Most Mornings....

...These are the ones I get to hang out with!

Lucky Me!

Catching Up.

This afternoon was the first one in a few days that
I have gotten to spend with the kids here at KP.
I felt bad for skipping out on play time the last
few days so when the girls wanted to paint their toe
nails this afternoon. I thought... SURE!

It was a fun afternoon of painting toe nails and eating ring pops,
and catching up on whats been going on the last few days!

It really is all about the simple things!

Incredible

Thursday morning I was woken well before my alarm to inform  me
that a friend had gone into labor and I was in line to assist her and play
interpreter. It was my first time figuring out the public hospital (not fun
especially so early in the morning and I hadn't have my coffee yet:)
After a long day of getting things figured out
at 5:35 that evening little Jenaiyah entered the world, and I
was the first to see her (after her mom and the dr.'s of course).
She is so beautiful and perfect and I was content to sit there and look
at her for hours.
Praising Jesus that mommy and baby are doing well and they were
able to go home today.

Headed home

Tonight I headed home the same time as the goats.
So I got to follow them down the road for a good half mile or so
before they turned off down the lane towards their house.

Yikes!

Yesterday night when I came home I noticed the
electricity was not right, when the lights kept dimming and the smell of burning
wiring started filling the house. Soon after Nick called me to inform
me they cut the current because of sparks flying from the power lines.
This morning I moved this electrical strip and noticed the burn marks
all around and through it from last nights electrical issues.
Thankfully they were fixed today!

The Normal Everyday

Sister must have been really tired.
I couldn't believe she fell asleep, doubled over, while I combed out her hair.

That Moment

When you pull off a paper towel first thing in
the morning and are greeted by a big bug hiding
underneath.
A lovely way to start the day!

Ackeem

Ackeem is the newest addition to New Hope. He just arrived and is
a few days old. Please be praying that he will quickly get a family.

Spike

Not the Spike you were expecting?
This is Spike II. She just arrived Tues.
When I arrived back from furlough I was informed that Spike
(the original) had gone onto that great dog park in the sky.
Now we have this new and much cuter one:)

1st week back!

They're Back!!!!!!!!
Well some of them are. I feel like they are coming
in really slowing this fall.

Please be praying for the kids here at the school
as they continue to come in and transition back
to the school routine.

Thanks!

Calling All Prayer Warriors.

The day I flew out to the states I  got an email informing me
that the government was ready to move the older kids
from New Hope to Children's homes more age appropriate.
We knew it was going to happen, just not when it would happen.
A few weeks later they were moved.
Please be praying for:
 Alex
 Shannel
 Joy
 Omar
 Felicia
 Shakera
Hope

As they transition to their new homes. Thankfully so far Joy and Shannel
are together at a home for special needs kids here in MV and I am hopping
to be able to visit regularly. The rest were moved to a home in St. Ann,
and thankfully they were all moved to the same home.
Please be praying for health and safety over these kids as they continue
to grow. New Hope now seems so different without them.
Thanks
