Hinrichsen Team

Easter Weekend I was lucky enough to welcome some of my
Hinrichsen family to Jamaica.
For years some have been asking for a family team to be put together
and this year it finally worked. I loved getting to spend Easter with
my mom, brother, uncles, aunts and cousins.
My brother Ryan, me, Neiah and Mom on Easter morning.
The main project for the team was tiling the new building at JDV.
long days were spent tiling and they did a great job.
There was also a lot of cleaning and painting

Even Neiah wanted to 'work' with the team

Then of course there was lots of loving on the kids at New Hope.
I loved taking them with me each day to love on the kids.

And of course Neiah loved getting spoiled by Uncle Ryan and getting
to skype daily with Jax and Kensley with him.
And she loved being spoiled by Mamaw and have her reading
story after story after story.

The Hinrichsen family has done a great job representing this year!
In the first four months I have gotten 8 out of the 12 originals down
here! Thats not including all those who married into the family,
and cousins!

Thanks for a great week all!

Sports Day 2014

Its that time of year again. Sports day!
As always it was a very big deal.
This year there was no team so I was able to focus more on the kids
and not have to worry about a team too. It was nice.

The Aftermath

This is what we ended up with after an incredible week being spoiled,
loved on, and humbled by my family team coming down.
enough food, books, toys, and everything else to last us for weeks.

Now comes the withdraw, as Neiah transitions back to life not being
constantly spoiled and held, and I go back to not having family
constantly around.

Feeling very blessed and loved. Prepping myself for the aftermath
to come.

Auntie K and Colt

The day after Matt and Tamara left, my sister Kristen and nephew
Colt arrived to spend the week with us.
 Lots of stories were read
lots of time with the babies were spent in the mornings
and down the hill with the big kids in the afternoon.
These two became fast buddies and did great together.
It was so fun to see.
The last few days before they flew out we spent at a hotel in Mobay.
Neiah's first time at the ocean.
Praise Jesus she is a beach lover just like her momma!
It was fun getting to spend the week with my sister. We don't
get these weeks often.
 searching for sea shells
enjoying the sunshine and the beach
all cleaned up and ready to go to supper.
my attempt at a picture with colt...
I should have known not to try while he was watching cartoons:)
A quick pic. before our last supper at the hotel.
So thankful they were willing to come hang out with us for the week.
We had so much fun with them.
Love you Auntie K and Colt!

Matt and Tamara

After 5 teams in 3 weeks I was thankful for a break... in teams.
The teams left and the friends came and I was SO EXCITED to
soak in all the time I could with them.
This time things were a little different. Tamara usually comes when the
highland park team is here, and this year there was no team. And
she usually comes alone and this time she brought Matt.
It was different too that this year I have Neiah. Neiah did great with
work teams and I was curious to see how she would do with people
staying with us and not just around us (in the dorms).
She did awesome and quickly learned the perks that come with having
Aunties and Uncles around to love on and spoil her:)
We spent our morning at New Hope, and our afternoons here at
KP with the kids. It was a good week.
I am SO very thankful for this girl. Her visits are such good boosters
for my heart.

Thank You Jesus for Dear Friends!
