So Excited!

Tomorrow Sadie is coming!!!!!

I am picking her up in MoBay and get 2 weeks with her.

I don't remember the last time I have gotten more then a few hours with her,

and now she is coming for 2 weeks! SO EXCITED!

This Morning

After a week of non stop and getting very little time with my kids

 this morning I took a sheet down to the play ground and spent

a lazy morning hanging out with the kids.

Recent Happenings

 Mango season is here! 

Most afternoons you will see each kid with a mango.

 Legos have arrived at C.C.C.D. KP.

Education week was a few weeks ago. There is a 

 childrens day during the week, and on children's day they get a gift.

 A large donation of small lego sets  came down with a recent team, 

and thats what the little boys got. They LOVE THEM!

One afternoon Jessimar and Richard built and set

up a restaurant. Their specials that day... were

dirt...rocks... or leaves. :)

Teams

This past week we had the dental team here working

with us again. They come every year and bless us

greatly with their ministry to the kids and staff.

We also had a first time team from St. Francis University.

 They are from a small college in PA, and  were a great 

group. We had a lot of fun with them.

This means something for their college.

I forget what, but they have groups take pictures

with there arms raised and I think it has something

to do with "Red Flash" there school's symbol.

Models & A Prayer Request

 If your going to model... why not use a big weed,

and a empty chip bag as props?

A Prayer Request:

Fabian (the boy in the green standing by the fence)

was sent home this week. His behavior has become

more and more agressive to the point that he was

not able to control himself and becoming a danger 

to the kids. Sending him home was not ideal, but we

didn't have any other options. His home life is not good

and the influences that surround him there are worse.

Please pray for him. For salvation, for healing.

Katie

Yesterday, I was excited to run away for a day to hang out

with friends at Y.S.. Katie is here for the week, and so before

they went to Top Hill for the weekend, I met up with Blake, 

Tashi, and Kates for a fun few hours. It was great to have 

that time to sit and catch up with 

whats going on with her.

Happy Tuesday

Today we were thankful for a rain free afternoon so we could spend

the afternoon outside on the playground.

They Call Me Auntie:)

Today I was able to go and spend a couple of hours at New Hope. Today was Amanda's birthday and

so they held a birthday party for all the May birthdays. It was simple but SO MUCH FUN! I was able to do a little bit of everything in my time there, play with the kids, hold the babies, help decorate, take pictures, and I loved it. Today the kids started calling me auntie too, and I was thankful to catch and remember more of their names too. I have only been working with them for a little over a month, but already I am in love!

Thank You Jesus for this opportunity!

In The Dark

This is how we have spent multiple nights this week.

For whatever reason the power gets cut at about 6 

 and stays off for hours.

Praise Jesus for nights that make us slow down.

Box FULL of babies

This week I got a box from Texas. It made me stop for 

a min, because I had no idea why I would get a package

from Texas. I opened it up to find a bunch of baby dolls

and a note. A team member who spent some time playing

with the kids in the library after school, noticed there were

not enough babies for all the "mommas" we had and so

she sent us some more. 

The "mommas" LOVED it, and were content for hours

taking care of their new babies!

Happy May Day!

When I came up the hill this afternoon  this

is what I found on my door. And soon after

my discovery I had all the neighbor kids yelling

"Happy May Day" at me and telling me all about

what they did:)

3rd times the charm... I hope!

Last week I went to the grocery store and before I

even got out of the car, I saw them... they were taunting me.

I have tried growing strawberries twice, and failed twice.

As soon as I got out of my car and started toward the

grocery the guy asked me "want to buy a plant?"

and I told him I would think about it, and I did while 

getting a few things in the store. I decided to think 

positive... 3rd times the charm right?!?!
