Midlothian/ FSU

Last week Neiah and I were able to hang out with 2 teams.
The first was from Florida State University
and the Second was from Midlothian Texas.
This is the second year we hosted both teams at the same time.
They had a great week and I praise Jesus for all the ways
they were willing to run along side us last week.

One

One year ago today I was able to bring this little lady home
with me and became 'mommy' for the first time.
The past year  God has used to grow us both daily,
and teach us lessons that we will
both benefit from for the rest of our lives.
It has been far from easy. But she is SO worth it!
Thank You Jesus for this Blessing!

Jamaica Day

The last Friday of February is "Jamaica Day'
This is a HUGE day for schools, and most
put on a big presentation.
The kids all praded around the school grounds
with their flags
then stood in a big circle to watch the boys club do
their marching performance.

Visitors

The past week was busy, but so very BLESSED.
We were able to host our JOC (Jamaica support group from our
sending orginization) for a few days of meeting and fellowship
Then 2 Elders and their wives came down to join the JOC over the
weekend and held communion for us here on the island.
Then on Monday another group of board members came in to
visit and learn about the different ministries ACWR works with
here on the island.
Like I said. It was a very busy week, as we
had people constantly coming and going every few
days, but VERY Blessed.

So thankful for all those dedicated to run along side us
as we live here on the island.

Reality

Realities can be hard. Today we had some parents
come to visit and we were able to listen as they shared
a little of their stories.
Bella's (whose real name we found out was Rain) mom
came to visit for the first time. She shared how she thought
she was to old to have kids (her other youngest child is
16). She got really sick and during one of her Dr.'s visits
the Dr. told her she was pregnant and too sick to keep the
baby. They recommended that she have an abortion.
She would not. When she told her family she was pregnant
they all turned their back on her. She was to sick and unable to
care for a baby. Thus Bella was brought to the home.
Now that her mom is better she is working on getting Bella
back. Please be praying for them.

Miss Tiana is one of our newest arrivals. She just
came in last week. She also has an older brother at
New Hope. Today a man and women came to see her.
They walked right past her brother not giving him a
thought. We all assumed it was the mom and dad and
couldn't figure out why they would ask for Tiana but
ignore her brother. Then we found out. The man was
Tiana's father but not her brothers. They have the same
mother, but different fathers. The women that came with
Tiana's father was his new girlfriend... who is also pregnant.
Please be prayerful for the kids and the chaos that is
this family.

Thanks for your prayers.
