Happy Sabbath

Today I felt like I got a Sabbath day. That hasn't happend for months.
This morning I was able to sleep in, wake up slow, sit and share
scripture, and how God is working with these lovely ladies.
We had time to just sit and chat...
IT WAS AMAZING!

Praise Jesus for Sabbath Days!

Meet Belvidere

This past week I had a team from Belvidere.
They continued the work the Goodfield team started at New Hope,
and they did a great job continuing the construction part at the home,
but also loving on the babies there.

Momma Came.

Mom was also able to come with the Goodfield team and the staff
and kids loved having her around. They would daily ask me where she
was, and now that she is gone some still do:)
It was fun to have her around and watch her love on those I love.

Meet Goodfield

This past week I had the Goodfield A.C. Team with me. This is my
'home' church, and the first time I was able to host them here at
my home in Jamaica. They were also the trial team for doing off
campus projects (they started constructing an addition to the New
Hope Children's Home). They did AWESOME!
They had a great week and I LOVED having them here.

All the pictures from their time here can be found on my share site.

Meet Briarwood!

This past week we had Briarwood PCA with us from Alabama.
This was our biggest team this year (50 people) and spent the
week, painting, pouring a farm road, and doing vbs with the students
after school. They did great, and I enjoyed having them around for
the week.

June JDV Team

Last week I was able to spend the week at JDV with Ted's Team.
I look forward to this team each year as I get a week away to hang
out with friends. This year the team was about half the size that normally
comes, but they were all Amazing and I Praise God for each one He
 placed on the team.
The main project for the week was pouring more of the road
 laying the curb block.
Andrew getting shot out of the cement mixer
We had a group pulling overgrowth out of the fields after weeks
and weeks of rain.
It was a lot of work and they did an awesome job pulling the grass
from the fields.

This week I was able to plug the team in at New
Hope a little at a time, and I LOVED watching
them love on my kids.

I think watching Jed was my favorite. He came multiple times and
always went right for our littlest girl (Christian), and snuggled her
until it was time to go.

This team did a TON of work for the size of the
team they were.
and by Wednesday afternoon/ Thurs. Morning they were feeling it.
Breaks were needed to keep them going strong. And during one of those
much needed breaks the talk began of how it nice it would be go to on a
free day.

They came up to me begging me to see what I could do. I chatted
with Ben about it to make sure he was okay with it, then I went
to stretch Ted and his years of routine.
The team was beyond excited when the first free day in over
15 years was okayed!
They had so much fun at the falls.
 They went zip lining.
And after a long morning at the falls it was
time to go hang with the kids at KP.
 Dance Off;
KP Kids vs. Ted's team.

 LOVE THESE GIRLS!
I am so thankful for the gift of getting to know them this past week
and I am excited to see where God leads them in their ministry!

The Way Back

This is a really bad picture, it was night, it was raining,
I was driving,  and after following this car for a few miles
I noticed there was a guy riding
in the trunk. I guess the Taxi was filled up and this was the only
seat he could get on a rainy Jamaican night:)
