Todays Conviction

This morning as I was doing my bible study
this was the challenge that jumped out at me.

"But I tell you that everyone will have to give account
on the day of judgment for every empty word
they have spoken. For by your words you
will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
Matthew 12:36-37

With the above verse in mind: What would be different in your
manner of conversation if you truly believed what it says?

Happy Sabbath!

Whats in a Tree?

 Whats in a tree?
If you look closer you will see
a whole heap of children!

For whatever reason this tree has become their
favorite place to play this past week. Its gotten to the
point I am constantly pulling some kids out of it
because there are to many in it they have to crawl over
each other and they start falling out of it.

Love It!

Who needs snow and a sled...........
when you have wet grass and a folding chair!

I love watching them create their fun:)

Car Ride

The last Friday of the month is always the monthly
birthday party for whatever kids celebrated a birthday
that month.  Because I have a lot to take down
for the party I use the car to carry it down. After the party
I always have a hoard of children waiting around my car to
"ride" with me. I unlock the door and they pile in.
I simply drive them up the hill to my house and they
all jump out and run back down the hill to school.

They Love it!

Praise Jesus for the little things!

Ideas?

for probably 30+ years this has been the mural on
the library wall. During my time here I have slowly
cleaned up different parts of the library. I think I just about
have all the unnecessary cleaned out, and so this month
it got a new paint job.
Now I have a big empty wall that needs...something.
I am hoping to get some serious artistic skill on one of the
up coming teams to help me add....something.

Do any of you artistic people out there have any ideas?
I would appreciate  any thoughts.
 Thanks!

Quiet

You may think that living and working at a deaf school that
life would be quiet.... its actually anything but quiet:)

To "get away" as soon as I come home I put in ear plugs,
ear buds, headphones, anything to block out as much
noise as possible happening around me.
This Jan. when the audiologist were here they filled my
ears with goo to make a mold so they could make me
ear plugs.  (I am so blessed!) The feeling was incredible.
With the "goo" in both my ears I got to experience
what it was like to be deaf. I had the audiologists standing
2 feet in front of me talking and I couldn't hear a thing they said.
It was a very cool experience and I loved it!
 The completed ear mold impressions.
When the audiologist came back in March they brought
with them my new ear buds. I was a little disappointed that
they didn't completely block out everything, but they
do help and I wear them often!

Praise Jesus for things that help us "get away".

Skype

Technology is an AMAZING thing and I am so thankful
for things like skype to help me hang out with my family.
Today via skype I got to play Candy Land and put
a puzzle together with my buddy Jax.
Jaxon and I waiting while "daddy" (aka my bro.Ryan)
takes his turn.
taking a break after a game of candy land (where our
guys ran around the board eating all the candy) to
decide what to do next.

Jaxon then wanted to do a puzzle
so we worked on a Johnny Tractor puzzle

Good times had by all!

Flowers and Ice Cream

This week my kids came back from Easter holiday.
The week started in chaos like usual, but by the end of the
week we all started to settle into our groove again.

Thursday my kiddos and I made flowers during library
time and then of course when they saw my camera
sitting on the counter they wanted their pictures
taken with them.

but really how tough can you be holding
a bouquet of flowers?

O' the fun you can have with old egg cartons and
pipe cleaners.

This past week we also had a team. Thursday the team
bought ice cream to hand out to the kids.
We had about 60 cups ready before we even called
the kids, because we knew once the first kid walked out
the door with a cup of ice cream, the rest would
stampede in looking for theirs too.

What a great way to start back after Easter Holiday.

Easter Weekend

After my team and Tamara left on Sat. I headed down to
St. Elizabeth for the weekend.
One of the most relaxing places in the world, I would say,
is sitting at Pauline's kitchen table with the kitchen door
open....
enjoying a fresh mango from the tree and catching
up with those I love.
Sunday after church I got to drive the new A.C.W.R. car
for the first time. I asked Blake before church if I could
drive it back to M.V. knowing he would need to
time to think about it:). After church, and Blake's 10 min.
spiel about what to do and not to do while driving the car,
I enjoyed a smooth ride home in the new car.

Sunday night we had our Team Easter meal. Ben and Krista
Buekema (new J.D.V. missionaries) were able to join us to.
It was a fun night, full of great food, and fun with friends.

Thank You Jesus for a great weekend
with those I love!

Sports Day

A few weeks ago we had our yearly sports day here at
C.C.C.D. Knockpatrick. We were blessed with a beautiful
day and I loved watching my kids have so much fun.

Here are a bunch of pictures in random order from the day.
