Happy Brithday Mom!

Lets slow this crazy down!

Painting, moving, government applications,
preparing for work teams, going to New Hope,
laundry, cleaning= a lot to do in not a lot of time:)

Yesterday I stopped. After church I made myself stop.
I lasted a good few hours. I didn't go work on the new
house. I didn't move things there, But I did get ansty
with so much to do so I thought I would pack.
I have had bags of coffee and ting sitting ready to carry back
for weeks. As I was packing them I smelled something horrible
I then pulled out the bacon that I had bought weeks ago along
with the coffee and ting. Gross!
Once I had all the bought stuff put in a bag I started going
through cloths and then I started looking for my swim suit
and couldn't for the life of me find it anywhere. Once again a
smell hit me and I found my swim suit sitting in a plastic bag off
in a corner in very bad need of a wash.
As these kind of things kept showing up I was thinking seriously
have things been that crazy that I didn't notice the smell of bacon sitting out
beside my bed for weeks? Or the smell of a wet swimming suit from that
last team? Sheesh. That got me thinking of what else I have over looked
or had put off.
Thankfully the only thing else I could find was the 2 min. it took to put a
new light bulb in my bathroom that had burned out months ago:)

Praise Jesus that Holiday Soon Come!

Before I go on Holiday I am going to attempt to apply for
perminant residency on Wednesday. I have been trying to get
things together for months and hopefully Weds. morning I will
get the last of the needed paper work to apply (hopefully the same
day). before I leave for the states on Thursday.

Thursday I will be arriving in the States Yay! Please let me know
if you want to meet up and good times for you. I would
love to see as many of you as possible.

Long time no see!

This month I have gotten to see and catch up with people I don't
get to see very often.

One Sunday I walked into church, sat down, and a little boy ran up to
me. I smiled at him and then had to do a double take before I realized
I was looking at John, my godson, after not seeing him for the past
year. He has been staying with his grandparents in Old Harbor for the
last year, but is now staying with him mom in Mandeville for a few
weeks. I am thankful for the few times I have gotten to hang out and love
on him these past few weeks.
Its crazy how much love I feel for a kid I don't get to see that often.
Last Sunday before I walked into church I was catching up with some
work team members at JDV who I have worked with in previous years.
and while chatting with them I heard talk that Sue was here with a small team
for teachers training. Church started and I did the interpreting needed,
and was thankful that I hadn't seen her yet. Sue was one of my college
instructors when I went through the interpreting program, and its still a
little intimidating to be interpreting in her presence. Thankfully I was
finished with the majority of the voice interpreting for church before
I heard a "psss" behind me and
turned to see her:)

Today I was able to spend a little time with her and her team as I toured
them around the KP campus.

Thank  You Jesus for these Opportunities!

Meet Champagin/ Remington Team

This week we have our final team. (Yay!) They are from Remington IN
and Champaign IL. They have spent the week working on finishing up
the projects teams have been working on all team season.

(sorry the picture is not great. It was dark and smoky when taken.)

With a little time, craftiness and smarts...

You can build yourself a car!

Richard our maintence guy and his friend
Danny (and others i'm sure) have
been working on this for a while.

It started out as something they could pedal
to carry things around campus...
and soon became a car.

Its incredible what they come up with.
I am constantly in awe at there creativity.
 I love it!

The Wall... Again

I am back at this wall again. I had gotten rid of this in April when
a team came and repainted the library for me.
Since then I looked at this for a while as we asked teams if any one
on their team and a true skill for painting murals. We had a attempt
that was not really what we were looking for....
Lesson learned.

I was looking for something simple, but at the same time something
that would fully cover the wall, and it would be okay to have a desk and
book case against it too.

I showed some pictures to Maggie who was on last weeks team,
and this is what she came up with. She drew it out, and then her and
some other very skilled people on the team painted some bamboo
on the wall for me. I like it. Its simple and just what I was looking for
Now, I just need to find a quote, verse, something to paint on the
other side of the wall behind the desk.

Ideas?

Last Thursday we had graduation here at KP.
This year we had a really large graduating class since
we graduated a life skills class with our other graduates.
Marah and Carlyle sharing about their time here at school.
Charnelle and Andre encouraging the graduating class.
 Accepting the graduation gifts
Colin the recipient of one of the special awards.
Andre the recipient of another special award.
The graduating class of 2012.

Congratulations to you all!

Please be praying for each of the graduates as they go out into
the real world and try to find jobs, or college options.
Thanks.
