He's a Keeper
I don't know how the topic came up,maybe because most afternoons
you can find him at my side, but Tyrell asked me if Jevaughn was my
husband. I told him yes, and then both boys started to giggle and ran away.
Something must have clicked in Jevaughns special little head because
the next day he showed up to the after school play time with a ring

He put it on my finger then just smiled his big goofy smile at me.
(Jevaughn also has the stickiest fingers ever so now I am thinking...
'great who did he steal this from'.)
At the end of play time I gave the ring back to him hoping he would
give it back to its true owner.
The next day he showed up with the ring (putting it on my hand again)
AND a bottle of perfume. I smelled it to see if he had just found an old
bottle and filled it with water, but NOPE. It was the real thing.
Then I got to thinking 'great now he has stolen two things to give me'.
Once again when play time was done I gave him the ring and the perfum
back and then went to talk to the older girls so they could figure out
who he had been taking things from so they could get their things back.
Thankfully since then I haven't been given any more stolen goods.
But I still think he's a keeper!

Allithia just arrived at the home two days ago
and already she has snuggled her way into my heart.
Please be praying for her that she can soon

National Deaf Sports Day
This past weekend was Jamaica Deaf Sports 4th annual
National Sports Days. The schools competed in Kingston
on Friday and the adults competed on Saturday.
It was a long and hot day, but the kids look forward to it
all year and I am always thankful when I can go and support them.
KP kids are in purple orange and the littles are in white.

Thanksgiving
This past weekend we had our Missionary Thanksgiving.
I was lucky enough to get to host it and thus responsible for making the meat.

I was able to find a turkey and it was cheaper then the other meat.
(I was shocked!) and thus had my first experience making a turkey.
My little sous chef
I failed at taking pictures of the night. I didn't get a picture
of the finished turkey that (PRAISE GOD) turned out.
or any pictures of our guests that came.
This was the leftover turkey so I guess it was a success.

Thankful
borrowing my kindle to read
(or flip the pages in the book I am reading losing my page so I
have to go back and find it:)
Anna-Kay mothering Tyrell
I love seeing her tender heart maturing and becoming so helpful
to our special needs kids.
Seeing how many kids they can get on 3 swings.
I am truly thankful for the kids here at KP.
They daily teach me, love me, grow me, and I pray that I can
be doing the same for them.
So THANKFUL for each of them and the fun they bring to my
life!

Newbies
This past month we got 2 new babies at New Hope

Christine arrived at a few months old and didn't have
a name. The aunties talked and Christine was chosen
for her name. She is 'gumming' big time so this is the
best picture I could get.
Jermaine is the newest little guy and needs
lots of prayers. Its said he is 5 mos old, but looks
more like a month. He came in very malnourished.
Here are a few pictures of the other kids.
This girl loves to giggle and laugh... until
you point a camera at her. Then she won't even look at you.
I was THRILLED to be able to capture the joy Ms. Trish has.
These two have become best friends and worst enemies.
Its so fun to watch them play/ fight now.
This is Neiah's new 'I know I shouldn't be doing
this... lets see if I get in trouble' face.
Stare down with Steven.
Have a great day!

A Suprise Visitor
I was surprised and excited to see this little beauty this week.
One afternoon her mom showed up at my door. Asked me
to take some picture of Jenaiyah (baby girl whose momma I
assisted with the hospital for the birth a few short weeks ago).
While I was taking pictures her momma left, (this is typical)
and so I was able to hang out with Jena for a few hours
until her momma came back. I can't believe how big she
has gotten!
So thankful for these opportunities!

Fear
My friend T sent me this picture. She said it made her
laugh and think of me. I laughed too imagining my reaction
would probably be similar to this if there was a bird that close
to me.

Biggs
Last month when we took the JOC to Mobay we found out that one of our
favorite 'go to' restaurants (The Irish Kilt)on the water was no longer there.
Instead it had transformed into 'Biggs' a southern resterant that serves
'comfort food' and the drinks are served in mason jars. I loved it!
Hopefully this place stays around for a while!
