Happy New Year

Happy New Year!
There has been a LONG absence and for that I am sorry.
I feel like this past fall just flew by. We were able to spend the
end of July - Aug in the states with family and friends.
September we arrived home, Neiah started school right away,
and I started planning En Gedi's dedication and for the JOC
(Harvest Call Board) to come down in a few weeks.
October we got a puppy, to help Neiah get over her fear of dogs,
and Praise Jesus it worked!
November we did a lot of finishing up and putting ducks in a row so we
could spend all of Dec- Jan 5 in the states helping Mom as she recovered
from back surgery. We also had one placement at En Gedi getting to care
for a little girl until a bed opened up for her.
O' and through ALL of that, we did a complete circle of hiring a new
electrician for En Gedi since our first one did things all goofy so we
kept failing government inspections . The new
electricians basically did everything that DIDN"T work, only to inform
me right before we were leaving that we needed to rip out the electrical
that runs from the house to the main pole on the road and start again.
BOO!
So As I write this they are once more making holes in walls to rip out
wire, and replace it with stronger wire to LORD willing get us past
the electrical inspection.

Our Time in the States: (In random order)
A cold and snowy Christmas morning!
roasting smores in December, because she asked
to and Papaw is a big softy.
Family Christmas with Papaw and Mamaw.
Spending as much time as allowed outside in
the snow playing.
 Celebrating her 6th birthday
with most of her favorites! (aka her cousins)
 Arriving back home (to Jamaica)
and spending as much time outside as possible.
(when she is not in school)
Loving on Brita as much as she will allow.
Trying to figure out the art of kite flying
(a kite was her 1 request from Santa this year)

Praying you all have a blessed new year!

Since its been a while...

This is simply a very sad attempt to update
whats been happened over the 'summer' months.
For me most mornings without teams
were spent loving on the littles
Dance parties in the projector light before
the movie starts at the monthly movie night
at KP
Neiah learning how to clean her bathroom,
and she seems to enjoy it. :)
Since moving to En Gedi, I feel like I have become
a beginner plant lady. I find it very relaxing.
 Another newly acquired responsibility
for Neiah is helping to water the newly
planted landscaping.
And also drying and sorting silverware
for the team, while I help the kitchen staff
get meals ready for the teams
Love these littles!

Since Its been way to long again

Since we have been home there has
been this smell in the kitchen. I
cleaned the appliances, looked through
cabinets for dead things, looked
on shelves and I found nothing, and
no amount of cleaning got rid of
the smell.
This week there was GREAT REJOICING
when I went to get craft supplies off
the top of the fridge and found this bag
full of garlic (probably from Thanksgiving)
under a pile of construction paper.
The Smell is now gone!!!!!!
Neiah loves school fundraisers and the sweets
that are bought to 'support' the school.
We got to spend a few days with some of our
favorite people when they came with the JOC
 Team Jamaica

The JOC that came to hang out with us
 Morning Devotions
 Sunrises
 Snuggles with my littlest love
No words for this picture :)

Thats life in a nut shell since we have been
back.
