Dayton Christian School

Dayton Christian School

This team comes every year and their leader is one of our CCCD Board Members
This Team has a great focus. The first day all the Women "leaders" on the team do
a prayer walk all around the school. At breakfast we sit down and talk about current issues,
prayer requests, and prayers answered from last year. Then they walk and pray.
At the beginning of the week the memory verse is put up.
Who ever memorizes the verse gets to pick a prize out of the "prize suitcase"
As you can see here EVERYONE (including our older boys who are "to cool"
for most things) attempt to memorize the verse
The Verse of the Week
(signs included)
Every night Mark would preach (having one topic, this year the story of Lazarus,
and building on it each day), and Kim would interpret. The rest of the team would then
perform a skit and a drama for the kids before it was dorm time for all.

The Audiologist

Tuesday morning the Audiologist showed up for a few days of testing hearing
and fixing aids for the kids who already have them
The kids were brought in a few at a time and sat until they were called
to a chair
Their ears were checked
(Kelly working with Cleveland)
Tests were taken to see level of deafness
(Susie working with Micheal)
Lindsee is explaining the next step to Tissy-Ann
Getting her mold made by filling her ears with goo!
Channin getting her ears filled with pink goo
(Brett did the paper work behind the desk)
Poor Matthew (as you can see by his face) was scared
to death the entire time he was going through the process
Melissa waiting for her ear molds to dry so she could be done

Tuesday the audiologists worked with the KP students and a few from JDV.
Then Wednesday the Kingston kids came up to be examined.

The audiologist will be back down in about a month with the new ear molds
and hearing aids for the kids!!!

My Kingston Kids!

Melissa and Dephawn
Melissa, Dephawn, and a little boy whose name I don't know
Kimberly (aka sister bear:)
Dayne
Dephawn

When I was in Kingston a few weeks ago I took a bunch of pictures of the kids
the only thing was I always grabbed Josh's camera (exact same as mine) to
take the pictures. They have been randomly showing up on the Internet so I have
been able to pull a few off so I could post them.
Enjoy!
These Kids are SO great!
I just Love them!

Then all my little princes and princesses are making crowns for themselves
I love getting back into a "normal" routine with my kiddos again!

I love that I can be sitting in my house and know when there is an
AMAZING sunset by the way the light comes through my window!

Random Signs

I love the randomness I find around here. Its always good for a smile:)
Like this white board. Some one feels very Blessed...
and it seems like the blessing is coming from Chocolate Milk!
Enjoy the randomness of the day!

God is the Coolest!

One of my favorite parts (and most humbling) is being able to see God move in so many lives down here. He is Awesome! I just received another email this morning that a fourth person, from the team that was just down here in Kingston with me, has now accepted Christ and has started repenting. My heart smiles so big thinking of that week and how situations went from hearing "_________ doesn't pray...." to having them pray for the group at meal times, or with another person after a good spiritual talk, seeing as they allow God to work in their hearts, and in the end accepting Him as their personal Lord and Savior!
What a MIGHTY God we Serve!Align Center
