It's Official

I would like to welcome Blake Widmer to "Team Jamaica" He will be joining us down here as a full time missionary. Please pray for him and his family as he prepares and starts the transition of this new journey in life.

Soaking it all in

So Tomorrow Morning about 9 I am headed to Mobay so that Friday Morning I can catch my early flight and not have to leave KP at a crazy hour like 5 in the morning.
That means that I have today to finish up, pack, pull together unfinished work, make sure everyone is on the same page, do as much as possible to prepare for when I will not be here, clean my house, put away everything that can not be mold covered or would attract any rodents or bugs while I am away, and somewhere in there try to Enjoy this Beautiful day that God has blessed me with.

So far my coffee continues to sit by me (and has been for the last 10 min) My toast has popped out of the toaster probably a good 30 min ago and I have yet to go retrieve it, and as I look outside I would be totally content to go out there with my toast, coffee, and a good book and spend the day under the sun.

If only that were an option!

Celebrating Life

Yesterday I arrived a half hour early to a baby shower that started an hour and a half late.(the story of my life). The ladies from church all came together to celebrate life.

Before we start we always have a time of devotion to encourage our hearts.

We played lots of games and had a great time of fellowship. This is Bianca's 3rd child but her 1st baby shower. She was so appreciative that after opening each gift she would call the person up thank them personally and give them a hug:)

So I am sitting here a day after my team has left and guess what.... I'm bored!

I was SO thankful to be able to sleep in yesterday... and again today... and I had a good day yesterday spending it mostly at JDV. Then today spending my morning at church and my afternoon reading and now that my kids are gone and everyone else is gone on Easter Holiday... I am getting bored. I was all excited about this down time that I was going to get and now that its here I don't know what to do with it... I have relaxed, watched movies, chatted with friends, slept, and now I sit here.... waiting for tomorrow and something to do...

On a side note I was TOTALLY blessed last night with a surprise visit from Sash. She was here to pick up her sister for Easter Holiday. I heard someone banging on the grate but thought it was the camp kids that are here using our facilities. When it registered that they would probably be yelling at someone to come open the grate rather then just banging on it like a deaf person I went out to see what was going on. I was speechless when I saw her I have not seen her since she was begging me not to leave her when I was getting ready to fly back to the states for Christmas. I have been texting and emailing her hearing nothing in return, I have been praying for her and begging God to keep her safe and out of trouble often hearing different stories from different people. Then last night when I got to see her for myself and hug her and talk to her... My heart soared. She is okay she looks good and happy all my thoughts of worse case scenario are not true! Praise God for blessing us with unexpected and fantastic surprises!

Praise the Lord!

I Made it through 6 weeks of work teams!

And I have a camp coming in today but they are supposed to take care of themselves.

The camp I was expecting got their dates wrong and will be here next week when I am not.

But

PRAISE JESUS! I made it through. I am spent and have nothing left but I made it through!

God is so good!

My kids left for Easter Holiday yesterday and they will be gone for the next 2 weeks.

Please pray for them and their safety as they are back at home.

Please also pray this week as I continue to prepare my heart for the transition to the states.

Meet Curtis Baptist

This week I have the pleasure of working with a small group from Curtis Baptist High School in Georgia. This year at their High School they decided to do a missions trip for their senior trip and these were the kids that stepped up to come, while others complained wanting a "fun" senior trip.
